Stuttgart, Aug. 1 -- The commander of the US military's European Command, Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, warned that the Pentagon may be forced to prioritise the defence of the US over Israel unless additional naval assets are deployed as the European Command was facing a strong shortage, according to a report by The Washington Post.
Citing unidentified US officials, The Post reported that Grynkewich had sent a written warning to Pentagon leaders stating that without another Navy destroyer, he "will be forced to choose" between protecting either the US or Israel.
