Tehran, Aug. 20 -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday dismissed US President Donald Trump's latest economic campaign against Tehran as a distraction from America's own economic problems, warning that the policy would deepen Washington's defeat and fuel anti-American sentiment in Iran.

Trump announced what he called the "most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country" against Iran and warned that countries and entities providing financial or other support to Tehran could face severe economic consequences.
