Hyderabad, Aug. 11 -- Global biotechnology company Amgen on Tuesday announced plans to establish a new Science and Innovation Centre at Genome Valley in Hyderabad as part of its global Research and Development network.
Amgen, headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California, discovers, develops, manufactures and delivers medicines for diseases including cancer, cardiovascular and inflammatory conditions, rare diseases and obesity-related conditions.
The new centre, expected to become operational in 2027, will expand Amgen's scientific and research capabilities and bring together scientists and technologists working in discovery chemistry, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics and precision medicine, the US based company said in a release.
