Mexico City, Sept. 2 -- Uruguay international defender Sebastian Caceres has parted ways with Mexico's America to join Spanish side Celta Vigo, both clubs said.
The 27-year-old agreed to a four-year contract after a deal was struck on the last day of La Liga's summer transfer window.
"Thank you for the titles, your professionalism, and for the great history we wrote together within the club," America said in a statement on its official website on Tuesday.
Caceres made 209 appearances across all competitions for the Mexico City club, whom he joined from Liverpool Montevideo in 2020, according to Xinhua.
