Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- The second round of the Asian Junior Open and Girls Classical Chess Championships witnessed several upsets as the battle for honours intensified at the ITC Maratha Sheraton, here.
In the open section, Guru Prakash, rated 2113, stunned the recently crowned Asian Junior Rapid Champion FM Vivaan Vishal Shah (2339), while Manav Kumar defeated the higher-rated FM Arun Kataria.
Hardik Shah held FM Amanmuhammet Hommadov of Turkmenistan to a draw, while Mehul Sondhi shared the point with FM Madhvendra Pratap Sharma.
