Lucknow, June 21 -- As part of International Yoga Day celebrations, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) organised a special one-day tour to a noted bird sanctuary where participants performed various yoga asanas, amidst scenic natural surroundings.
Around 40 participants were taken to the Shahid Chandra Shekhar Azad Bird Sanctuary, formerly known as the Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary, a prominent protected wetland and avian habitat located in the Unnao district, along the Kanpur-Lucknow Highway. The sanctuary is a crucial refuge for migratory and resident birds and was designated as a Ramsar Site.
The visit was organised by UP Tourism as part of the 'Visit My State Uttar Pradesh' campaign.
