Lucknow, July 10 -- As Uttar Pradesh prepares for this year's Mahavriksharopan Abhiyan on July 12, the Tourism Department is set to give the plantation drive a distinct tourism dimension.
Instead of routine tree plantation, major tourism projects across the state will develop theme based green spaces inspired by India's ecological and cultural traditions, making greenery an integral part of the visitor experience.
The strategy was finalised during a virtual review chaired by Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs, Amrit Abhijat, on Friday with Regional Tourism Officers from all 11 regional tourism offices.
