Lucknow, Oct. 3 -- Uttar Pradesh needs to move beyond increasing spice production and focus on technology, processing, quality assurance and value addition to capture a larger share of the global spice market, participants at the 6th Uttar Pradesh Spices Conference and Expo 2026 said on Saturday.

The conference brought together government officials, policymakers, scientists, spice manufacturers, exporters, farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and industry representatives to discuss the next phase of the state's spice economy.

The event was organised by the Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD), with 3EA Global as knowledge partner.
