Lucknow, July 2 -- After the formation of the "double-engine government" in Uttar Pradesh, common people have been receiving the full benefits of Central Government schemes, officials said on Thursday.

They added that before 2017, implementation of these schemes in the state was slow, with allegations that previous governments created hurdles for political reasons and even promoted similarly named state schemes, leading to confusion and reduced outreach of Central welfare programmes.

Officials further said that after Yogi Adityanath took oath as Chief Minister in 2017, implementation of Central schemes gathered pace, enabling citizens to access benefits from both Central and State initiatives.
