Lucknow, July 18 -- With rural tourism emerging as a key pillar of Uttar Pradesh's tourism strategy, the state government is betting on homestays to create a new generation of local entrepreneurs.
Thirty-five homestay operators, most of them young people who have chosen self-employment after completing their education, underwent a five-day residential training programme in Lucknow aimed at equipping them with professional hospitality and business management skills.
