Lucknow, Aug. 29 -- Ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Public Works Department (PWD) has begun preparations to accelerate development and construction projects, while simultaneously planning to deploy officers, engineers, and employees in districts facing high construction pressure.
The Yogi government intends to accelerate assembly-wise projects before the elections to create a favorable environment for the government.
According to officials, the deployment of officers and employees has already begun in 11 districts, including Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Basti, Bahraich, Kanpur Nagar, Sitapur, Moradabad, Kaushambi, and Prayagraj.
