Barabanki, Feb. 25 -- An NGO leader in Barabanki, who had previously spoken out against alleged religious conversions and "love jihad" activities, has reported receiving death and rape threats, including calls from an international number. A case has been registered at Kotwali City police station following her complaint.
The complainant, identified as Riksha Tufail, a resident of Lakhpedabag, runs a local NGO. Earlier this month, she alleged that several young women were rescued with police assistance from a cafe in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, named Brown Girl Cafe.
