Lucknow, Sept. 6 -- A major initiative is being taken to integrate technology-based healthcare services in Uttar Pradesh to provide timely treatment to patients in road accidents and other serious emergencies.
Under this initiative, a plan has been developed to develop UPTEN (Uttar Pradesh Trauma and Emergency Network) as an integrated emergency medical network, aimed at ensuring patients receive appropriate treatment within the first 60 minutes of an accident or medical emergency, the "golden hour."Through UPTEN, the state's scattered trauma, burn, cardiac, stroke, and other emergency services will be connected into a single network.
