Lucknow, July 9 -- The Uttar Pradesh government will plant a record 35 crore saplings on July 12. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given special instructions in a recent meeting that this plantation festival should be celebrated with public participation in the presence of public representatives.
In view of this, ministers from the central and state governments will visit various districts to plant trees.
Chief Minister Adityanath himself will plant a tree in Gorakhpur, while Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya will plant a tree in Jhansi, and Brajesh Pathak, in Lucknow.
