Lucknow, Aug. 10 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a major step towards making the state's urban bodies financially strong and self-reliant with deciding to implement the One-Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) in all 762 urban bodies in the state to effectively recover pending property taxes, including house tax, water tax, and sewer tax.
This government initiative will provide relief to millions of taxpayers stuck with long-standing property tax arrears and strengthen the financial position of urban local bodies.
