Lucknow, Oct. 2 -- Infrastructure development and land acquisition in the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) area have gained momentum as part of efforts to develop Uttar Pradesh as a new center of industrial investment.
According to BIDA data as of October 1, 2026, out of the total approved area of 56,662 acres across 33 villages for the project, 28,874 acres of land have been acquired so far. In the first phase, 35,298 acres and in the second phase, 21,364 acres of land have been approved.
Land acquisition in the BIDA area has progressed steadily over the past few months. From November to September, the government acquired a total of 7,026 additional acres.
