Varanasi, July 26 -- The 'Gou Sansad', founded by Jyotirpeethadhiswar Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, on Sunday described the advertisements issued by the Uttar Pradesh government regarding cow protection, promotion, and service as ''misleading, devoid of facts, and beyond the actual situation''.
Questioning the government's claims of "policy, intention, and results", the Gou-Sansad said that the condition of cows in the state remains worrisome and that the advertisements are an attempt to conceal the reality. Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj was talking with reporters at Srividya Math and raised several serious questions. He stated that the Go-Sansad has exposed the government's truth to everyone.
