Lucknow, July 29 -- Rural residents in Uttar Pradesh will no longer have to travel to cities to enrol for an Aadhaar card or update their name, address, mobile number, or biometric details.
In line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Panchayati Raj Department has launched a major initiative to develop Gram Panchayats into digital service centres.
The state government has launched Aadhaar enrolment and update services in 110 gram panchayats across six districts, enabling rural residents to access Aadhaar-related services closer to their homes without travelling to urban centres.
