Lucknow, June 16 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a major decision prioritizing the safety, health, and quality education of children by extending the summer vaction until June 24 in the light of the increasing heat wave conditions in the state.

These schools are under the control of and recognized by the Basic Education Council.

According to an order issued by Additional Chief Secretary, Basic Education and Secondary Education Department, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, summer vacation will now be from May 20 to June 24 each year, and regular classes will resume in schools from June 25.
