Ballia, Oct. 12 -- Uttar Pradesh is widening its spiritual tourism offering in the east, with work underway on an Rs 8.74 crore project at Maharishi Bhrigu Ashram in Ballia.
The development will combine better pilgrim facilities with cultural storytelling, giving the district's ancient association a stronger place in the state's tourism network.
Being undertaken under the Chief Minister's Tourism Destination Development Scheme, the project carries forward Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of a Bhrigu corridor in Ballia on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The effort is to connect the site's religious significance with a visitor experience that introduces travellers to its wider cultural inheritance.
