Lucknow, Aug. 11 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai has written to State Governor Anandiben Patel regarding the continuously deteriorating condition of the newly opened Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway.
He urged the Governor to immediately intervene and raise the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah, and demanded a high-level probe.
Rai stated in the letter, sent on Tuesday, that the 63 km-long Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, recently constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 4,200 crore, was touted as a major achievement for modern and faster transportation.
