Lucknow, Feb. 23 -- : Uttar Pradesh BJP president and union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary has strongly reacted to Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav's statement suggesting that Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak could become Chief Minister if he brought 100 BJP MLAs into the SP fold.

Chaudhary said the remark reflects the opposition's frustration, despair and political bankruptcy.

In a statement issued on Monday, he said Samajwadi Party leaders should focus on their own organisation, where the support base is steadily declining and internal weaknesses are becoming visible.
