Mirzapur, March 31 -- A road accident in Mirzapur on Tuesday morning claimed the lives of three members of the same family, including a child.
The victims were riding a motorcycle when a speeding trailer truck ran over them, killing all three on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so severe that the victims were trapped under the truck and dragged for nearly 100 meters, leaving a gruesome scene on the road.
The truck driver fled the spot immediately after the incident, abandoning the vehicle.
Local police arrived at the scene soon after receiving information and recovered the bodies, which had been badly mutilated due to the impact. The bodies were later sent for post-mortem examination.
