Lucknow, March 2 -- At least three people were killed and eight others injured after an SUV overturned on the Purvanchal Expressway near Kabulpur village under the Loni Katra police station limits today, police said.
According to officials, the vehicle was travelling from Lucknow to Ayodhya when one of its rear tyres burst, causing the driver to lose control. The SUV reportedly overturned multiple times on the expressway.
Security personnel from the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), along with the Loni Katra police, rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
