Basti, Feb. 24 -- A seven-year-old schoolgirl was killed after being hit by a sand-laden trailer on the Basti-Dumariyaganj road near Pachmohani village under the Sonha police station area today morning.
The incident occurred near Pachmohani village in the Dumariyaganj route, which falls under Sonha police limits.
The victim, Pragya, daughter of Bablu and a resident of Pachmohani village, was a Class II student at a local government school.
According to reports, the accident took place around 9 am when Pragya was on her way to school with her brother Surya and other children. While the other children managed to cross the road safely, Pragya was struck by a sand-laden trailer approaching from the opposite direction.
