Chandauli, June 12 -- A 10th-grade student was murdered by his fellow classmate in his classroom over a cricket match dispute in Pratappur village in Chandauli on Friday morning.
According to police, the accused student entered the class with a knife hidden in his waistband. The accused stabbed the victim Lavkush Yadav (17) in the chest, who could not recover from the sudden attack. He collapsed, covered in blood.
There was a stampede due to the stabbing in the classroom. The teacher and students fled the class. When the commotion escalated, other teachers arrived at the scene.
The injured student was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. In the chaos, the accused student fled the scene.
