Prayagraj, April 19 -- The Special Task Force (STF) field unit of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, has successfully arrested a liquor smuggler carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 from Haryana, officials said today.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (STF) Shailesh Pratap Singh, the accused has been identified as Vikas Saurang, son of Kanwar Singh, a resident of Kothkala village under Narnaund police station in Hisar district, Haryana.
Police stated that a case was registered against Saurang in 2023 at Devgaon police station in Azamgarh district under Section 3(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act.
