Rae Bareli, Sept. 8 -- Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, arrived in his parliamentary constituency, Rae Bareli, today for a two-day visit.
During his visit, he will attend a meeting of the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) to assess the district's development and meet with party officials to learn about the organization's functioning.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to Rae Bareli is considered significant ahead of the upcoming Uttar assembly elections.
On his arrival in Rae Bareli in evening, Rahul Gandhi was accorded a warm welcome by party workers in Maharajganj.
He will hold meetings in Halor and Maharajganj. After this, he will reach Prabhutown of the city.
