Lucknow, June 8 -- In its bid to take education to the last person in society and to realize the goal of having an illiteracy-free state. the Uttar Pradesh government's Nav Bharat Literacy Programme is emerging as a medium of positive transformation in the lives of lakhs of people, officials here today said.

Officials said that under this campaign, which is aimed at making illiterate persons above 15 years of age literate, more than 11.68 lakh people have been made literate in the state from 2022-23 to 2025-26. The programme is strengthening self-reliance, awareness, and social empowerment through education.
