Bijnor, April 15 -- In a shocking incident reported from Bijnor, a leopard attacked a sharecropper in Anthai Sheikh village, leaving him seriously injured.
The victim, identified as 48-year-old Akbar, displayed remarkable courage by fighting off the animal until help arrived, officials said on Wednesday.
According to village head Dilshad Ahmad, Akbar works as a sharecropper for local farmer Bilal. Around 10:30 PM late Tuesday night, Akbar had gone to irrigate a sugarcane field. While sitting on the edge of the field, a leopard suddenly pounced on him.
