Varanasi, Sept. 6 -- Marking the divine birth anniversary of Lord Krishna today, Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with reverence, devotion and joy at Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Dham, as devotees came together to honour the occasion through traditional religious rituals, prayers and sacred ceremonies.
At 12 am midnight, the premises of the Dham were seen reverberated with Vedic chanting, conch blowing, and chants of "Jai Shri Krishna" and "Har Har Mahadev", alongside the performance of the ritualistic worship by the temple trust's scholars and anointment of Lord Laddu Gopal on the Janmotsav.
