Kanpur, Sept. 3 -- Amid recent detailed discussions held in Kanpur on preparations for the next phase of the UP Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC), the Uttar Pradesh government is working to position the state as a global hub for defence production.
At the 'Kanpur Regional Defence Workshop', organised in partnership with Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and the state government, it prominently emerged that Kanpur will become a major centre for defence production in the coming days, with IIT Kanpur and BHU contributing to the development of new technologies.
