Hardoi, Feb. 28 -- A joint team of the district administration and police conducted a raid at an Ayurvedic company located in the Industrial Area on Circular Road in Hardoi and seized approximately 40 quintals of cannabis from a truck parked inside the company premises.
The firm was reportedly licensed to store only 15 quintals, officials confirmed today..
The action created a stir in the area.
According to City Magistrate Sushil Kumar, the raid was carried out based on a tip-off on Friday. A joint team comprising officials from the administration, police, and the Excise department searched the premises. During inspection, a truck stationed inside the compound was found loaded with a large quantity of cannabis.
