Hardoi, March 11 -- The anti-corruption organization team of the CBI has arrested Suresh Chaudhary, former district president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Hardoi, for allegedly accepting Rs 45,000 as bribe from a woman in exchange for helping her secure a bank loan, officials said today. According to the complainant, Seema Devi, a resident of Achhramau village in the Baghauli police station area, had applied for a Rs 5 lakh loan under the Chief Minister's Youth Entrepreneur Employment Scheme at the Bank of Baroda.

She alleged that Chaudhary, who operates a Business Correspondent (BC) centre and also works as a recovery agent, demanded Rs 50,000 as a bribe to facilitate approval of the loan.
