Varanasi, Sept. 17 -- Young Brahmins from Kashi, his parliamentary constituency, performed a 'milk-ablution ceremony' (Dugdhabhishek) while worshipping the river Ganga and reciting Vedic chants on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday, praying for his long and healthy life.

At a program organised under the auspices of the Brahmin community at Ahilyabai Ghat, Ganga river was worshipped with Vedic chants.

Following this, 76 young Brahmins from Shri Annapurna Rishikul Brahmacharya Ashram and Shri Shastrarth Mahavidyalaya, under the leadership of Acharya Udit Narayan Mishra, anointed river Ganga with 76 liters of saffron-infused water and milk.
