Lucknow, Aug. 20 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the state BJP government over the flood-hit areas in Prayagraj.

He said the government should be ashamed of the dire situation in Prayagraj.

Akhilesh Yadav said in a post on the social media platform 'X' on Thursday, "This is the dire situation in Prayagraj. If anyone else were in power, they would have resigned in shame after seeing the flooded condition of thousands of homes there, after embezzling Rs. 1 lakh crore in the name of Prayagraj's development."He alleged that merely changing the name doesn't change the system.
