Lucknow, Sept. 1 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President and former minister Ajay Rai today filed a defamation suit against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the latter's remark of him allegedly eating fish in Ayodhya.
Rai appeared at the Lucknow Civil Court and filed a defamation suit, stating that he was hurt by the allegations made against him regarding eating fish in Ayodhya.
A statement issued by the Congress party stated that the allegations against Ajay Rai regarding eating fish in Ayodhya are false. The Congress state president has sought the court's recourse, calling these allegations damaging to his reputation.
