Tehran, June 9 -- The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Centre has reported 29 attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, and the Gulf of Oman since the escalation of conflict in the Middle East.

In its latest update covering the period from February 28, 2026, to June 8, 2026, UKMTO said it received a total of 54 incident reports involving ships operating in the Arabian Gulf region, of which 29 were classified as attacks.

The report also noted two incidents involving vessel hijackings.
