Imphal, Oct. 8 -- union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, today appreciated the performance of Manipuri players in the just concluded Asian Games at Aichi-Nagoya in Japan.
The Minister stated this when he met Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh at his official residence in the national capital.
Dr Mandaviya also agreed to visit Manipur shortly to oversee the various works of the union Sports Ministry in the State. He will also visit the National Sports University (NSU) in Imphal according to state information office.
The National Sports University, the first of its kind in India, is considered as a landmark and dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
