Kolhapur, Sept. 19 -- The two-day visit of union Home Minister Amit Shah to Kolhapur district, scheduled to begin from this evening, has been cancelled.

According to reports, the visit was cancelled due to the Minister's ill health.

Earlier, union Home Minister Amit Shah who had arrived in Hubli on Friday night to attend some inauguration events there, skipped the programmes on Saturday due to ill-health.

Shah has left for Delhi from Hubli.

It was reported that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, who were also set to visit Kolhapur to meet the union Minister, have also cancelled their visits.
