Chhapra, Aug. 24 -- An undertrial prisoner undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital in Saran district escaped after allegedly dodging security personnel.
Police said here on Monday that the prisoner, identified as Adarsh Pandey, a resident of Amethi district in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by Hariharnath police on August 22 and subsequently sent to the Chhapra divisional jail following a court order.
After his health deteriorated in jail, Pandey was admitted to the prisoner ward of Sadar Hospital for treatment.
