Shimla, Feb. 28 -- The maximum temperature in Una in Himachal Pradesh soared to a record high on Friday, touching 30.3 degrees Celsius, nearly matching the highest February temperature of 31 degrees Celsius recorded in 2006, an official of the India Meteorological Department said.

Mainly sunny and dry weather conditions prevailed across six districts of Himachal Pradesh, with daytime temperatures remaining around four degrees above normal. Una's temperature was one degree higher than the previous day and 5.2 degrees above the seasonal average.
