Ankara, July 7 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Ankara today with a renewed appeal for air defence support, saying his top priority at the NATO summit is securing additional systems and interceptor missiles as Russia intensifies its attacks on Ukrainian cities.
"We will continue to work on bolstering Ukraine's air defence. New systems, missiles for them, and the issue of production licences - all of this is our priority," Zelensky said in a post on X.
Although Ukraine is not a NATO member, Zelensky has become a regular participant at alliance gatherings as Kyiv seeks military and financial support in its war against Russia.
