ondon/Jerusalem, Sept. 8 -- British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has announced a wide-ranging sanctions package targeting Israeli settlements in the West Bank, along with other measures to put economic and diplomatic pressure on Israel.

Speaking in the House of Commons, Miliband said Britain would impose an import ban on goods produced in Israeli settlements in the West Bank and sanction companies and individuals involved in settlement expansion.

The UK will also refuse licences for arms and other exports that are deemed to materially support Israel's "occupation", Miliband said. France and Canada will introduce similar import bans on settlement goods, while several other countries have indicated they are prepared to support further meas...
