Panchkula, Sept. 1 -- The University Grants Commission (UGC) has notified 33 new allied and healthcare degree titles and increased the minimum duration of three existing undergraduate programmes, including Physiotherapy and Optometry, as part of a major revision of its degree specification framework.

The changes have been made through the fifth amendment to the UGC's 2014 Notification on Specification of Degrees, according to a Gazette notification .
