Kampala, July 13 -- Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC has signed Ghanaian defender Bonney Christopher on a two-year contract, the club announced on Monday.

"Kitara Football Club have completed the signing of Ghanaian born defender Bonney Christopher on a two-year contract," the club said in a statement.

Christopher becomes Kitara's first signing of the current transfer window as the Uganda Cup holder strengthens its squad for the 2026-27 season, when it will also represent Uganda in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

The defender has previously played for four clubs in the Ghana Premier League, as well as in Tajikistan's Vysshaya Liga.
