Hyderabad, March 19 -- Telangana celebrated Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, on Thursday with traditional fervour and joy.

Devotees thronged temples across the state to offer special prayers, while many temples organised Panchangam (almanac) recitations to mark the occasion.

Homes were decorated with flowers, mango leaves, and neem, reflecting festive spirit, as families prepared traditional delicacies. The signature Ugadi Pachadi-known for its unique blend of sweet, sour, and bitter flavours-symbolised the varied experiences of life.
