Chennai, June 22 -- The issue of playing National Anthem twice during Governor's address in violation of the long followed tradition generated heat in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, with the Leader of Opposition and DMK Youth wing leader Udayanidhi Stalin accusing the TVK government headed by Chief Minister VIjay of according more importance to Lok Bhavan than the House tradition.
Winding up the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor R V Arlekar for his address, Udhayanidhi raised the issue of rendering the National Anthem twice in the House and termed it as violation of rules, resulting in heated arguments between him, the Chair, resulting in frequent interventions to counter the charge.
