Thiruvananthapuram, May 17 -- In a major political development in Kerala, Chief Minister-designate V.D. Satheesan today formally announced the 21-member United Democratic Front (UDF) Cabinet after meeting Governor Rajendra Arlekar and submitted the final list of ministers.
The announcement was made at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, where he confirmed that the Cabinet formation had been completed after extensive consultations within the alliance and with the approval of the AICC leadership.
Satheesan said that while 20 ministers will take oath along with the Chief Minister on Monday, the Cabinet will eventually be expanded to 21 members.
