Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 -- As counting of votes in the Kerala Assembly elections 2026 neared completion, the United Democratic Front (UDF) has surged far ahead with 103 seats in the 140-member Assembly, securing a clear majority, while the Left Democratic Front (LDF) is trailing with 35 seats and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is reduced to just 2 seats.

Within the UDF, the Congress (INC) has emerged as the single largest contributor with 64 seats, followed by the Indian union Muslim League (IUML) with 22 seats.
